As an artist, I create in order to process life, and interact with the muse that surrounds me. It is the most peaceful realm that I become fully engulfed into. Where nothing truly matters, but the ink from my pen will find its way in just the right places that satisfy. Whether it’s fine traditional art, digital, tattoo art, horse hooves, poetry, or music, there is never really a plan, just an ever changing gleam in the distance that the artistic process transports me closer and closer to. When complete, it is as if the result was always the plan. But in reality it’s the unknowing during the journey, while living in the moment that is the most wonderful part, and then the satisfaction once the final result feels whole.
My biggest inspiration is nature, next down the line, being a product of nature, is culture and music. I hike often, explore as many various terrains as I can find access to, and study them down to most fascinating details. Such as the changes in the patters of ripples in the water, the passing and morphing of clouds in the sky, the veins in a leaf, the speckles on a rock, or shape and contour of an insects body. And then when I go to make art, I apply these things I’ve studied, and try to illustrate these effects in my art form, the way I see them. Horses have inspired me the most, among the animal kingdom, which is why I spend so much time watching them move, interacting and working with them in order to be the best Farrier (horseshoer) I can be.
Art and inspiration can be found in some of the most peculiar or unexpected places. It can also be right in front of you, but go unrealized for the longest time. So I continue traveling and exploring places and cultures, meeting new people and expanding horizons. Each person has their own vision and perspective & when I get a chance to work with someone to create art for or with them, I get the chance to visit an insight into a new perspective on life. It gives me great joy to come up with art for a person using all of the tools I have collected in my mind and at my fingertips to figure out exactly what they need to complete their vision. Art is a magnificent world to be shared. I hope that my art can reach people’s deepest emotions and excite & inspire those who need it most.
